Who We Are

PactPodz is operated by Jake Lyons, doing business as PactPodz, located at 806 N Peoria St, Chicago, IL 60642.

What We Collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password when you sign up.

Profile information: your location, photo, introduction, work type, industry tags, social links, North Star Goal, Daily Affirmation, and any other information you choose to add to your profile.

Session data: attendance records, daily goals, wins, losses, Staked Commitments, and proof of completion (including photos) that you enter or upload during sessions.

Payment information: we use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your full card number. Stripe stores your payment method and we retain a reference to it (card brand, last four digits, and expiration date) for display and future charges.

Communication data: messages you send to other members through the platform, support requests, and any content you post in community feeds or on The Board.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, session attendance patterns, and general activity within the platform.

Device and browser data: browser type, operating system, and IP address, collected automatically for security and functionality purposes.

Notification preferences: your choices regarding which email and push notifications you want to receive.

How We Use It

We use your information to provide and operate the PactPodz platform, including assigning you to pods, managing your session schedule, and processing weekly settlements. We also use it to process financial stakes and membership payments through Stripe, send transactional emails about your account, send promotional and marketing communications about PactPodz, calculate attendance and settlement charges, enable peer review of Staked Commitments, track email delivery and engagement to measure effectiveness, tag and segment members internally for operational and communication purposes, and improve the platform based on usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy.

Marketing Communications

By creating a PactPodz account, you consent to receive promotional emails from PactPodz, including community updates, product announcements, blog content, and other marketing communications. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting info@pactpodz.com. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your account, pod assignments, settlements, or other service-related communications.

Email Tracking

PactPodz tracks whether marketing and promotional emails are delivered, opened, and clicked. This data is used to measure the effectiveness of our communications and improve the content we send. This tracking does not apply to transactional emails such as pod assignment notifications, settlement receipts, or password resets.

Push Notifications

PactPodz offers optional web push notifications for events such as new messages, review assignments, proof reviews, settlement completions, and pod assignments. You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your notification preferences in your profile settings. Push notification subscriptions are stored on our servers and can be removed at any time.

Proof Photos

When you submit proof of goal completion, you may upload photos. These photos are stored securely in our cloud storage for 35 days, after which they are permanently deleted by an automated process. During the 35-day window, proof photos are visible only to your assigned reviewer and to PactPodz administrators.

Third-Party Services

PactPodz uses the following third-party services:

Stripe for payment processing and card storage. 100ms for video infrastructure (sessions are not recorded). Supabase for database and authentication. Resend for email delivery. Vercel for hosting. Google Tag Manager for analytics (no advertising cookies are used).

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If your membership is cancelled, your account data is retained for 90 days before deletion, during which time you can request reactivation. After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted except where retention is required by law. Proof photos are deleted automatically after 35 days regardless of account status.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing info@pactpodz.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you request deletion while your account is active, your membership will be cancelled as part of the deletion process.

Cookies

PactPodz uses cookies for authentication and basic site functionality. We use Google Tag Manager for analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

Children

PactPodz is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active members of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of PactPodz after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
